Surviving fugu

Yes, I ate fugu a few nights ago, even though I was trying to tell the waitress I wanted nothing to do with it. Apparently the chef was very good, though, for neither my mother or I were any worse for it.

We've been in Kyoto for a few days now, and I must say that it is probably the most beautiful city I have ever seen (or at least most of it), and I've been all around the world. I've taken a truly abusive number of pictures, and I've burnt out my rechargable batteries that I've been using in my camera.

We spent our first night in a ryokan in Gion, and I can safely say I've never been so indulged in my whole life. There is something beautiful in the simplicity, the dignity and the discretion that I find absoluety lovely.

Today I am hoping to go to the Fushimi-Inari shrine, just outside of Kyoto, which is the largest fox-god shrine in Japan. I'm very excited about this, as it is one of the things I've wanted to see the most here.

I haven't been able to get to my email on this computer (blocked site for security reasons - stupid hotmail), so I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell Jye for me that I survived my puffer-fish adventure. :)

Is fugu the lethal blowfish one?

That's the one!

Aparently, though, I survived. Or so it would seem...

But it's flavoured with the sharp taste of impending death. What's not to like about it?

Just... make sure that it's not a slow-acting poison. Otherwise, when you collapse in the airport, and people assume that Japan is filled with some deadly invisible micro-killer, the collapse of the world's economy will by on your shoulders...

But maybe...maybe this is zombie-Rynn! The food did kill her and she has come back from the Japanese grave to consume our brains.

Abyssal Rynn more like it.

Better watch out as she might be collecting dirt from graves and other tapping of the dead. And doing other deathly like things found on Page 148 of the EXALTED : Abyssal Book.

BTW Rynn, what is your new title?
It would be nice if we can keep your Resonance Count down. :p

I think it would take me a lot of convincing before i would eat fugu.

Is the taste of Fugu worth the risk of eating it???
