Loose ends.

I realised today as I ran an errand in the city that my entire life had amounted to being stuck behind fat-assed ladies and men on mobile phones.

I finished up the financial reports for the VNR and the ANF today, as well as depositied a whole bunch of monies. All I can say is that I'm glad I'm not an accountant by trade, because my 'creative' ways of dealing with budgetting would no doubt get me arrested. Thanks to Stuart, if he's reading, for aiding and abetting.

I really enjoyed mousebane's 7th Sea game last night, although I'm getting the distinct impression that there may soon be waaaaaaaaaaay to much happening for our little brains to cope.

My personal finances are a little bit more dire than I thought after my not-quite-impulse-geeky purchace yesterday, but I should be getting paid today, which will smooth things over nicely.

I also have to finish up writting a Project Proposal for a summer student named Micheal, who will become my scientific minion to do as I command!!!! I kid you not, I get to supervise the poor sod and make him do work which will end up in my thesis. Cool.

And I've started drinking caffiene-free, diet pepsi, because of the whole migrane thing. Sure, it may taste like ashes in my mouth, but it's better than nothing.

I made the mistake of drinking a can of sugar-free, diet Solo at Dwarfcon on the weekend. Admittedly, as it was the only non-cola drink available at the time and I was thirsty (damn you left foot and your gout, for forcing me to stop my incredibly bad but comparatively cheap diet of coca-cola and the occasional sausage in toast) but yea, never again. It truly was a horrendous experience, as it didn't have the pleasant sourness of lemon, but instead the artificially wrong flavour of whatever sweetener was being used reacted badly with the colouring compound....

But more importantly, I didn't get the sugar boost I really needed....

I miss you coca-cola, I know you tell me you'll treat me nicely, but I can't trust you any more....

Drink water ... those silly drinks don't even taste right ...

Sure water is boring for a bit ... but you get used to it ...

add a bit of lemon or mint ...

... just thoughts
