games

The talk with my supervisor about my lit review went much better than expected. Sure, there are a lot of changes to make and more research to do, but he decided that he'd like to get me working on mini-reviews to be published throughout the next three years. Two good things - 1) it was good enough to make him think that I could publish multiple papers (albeit with expanded reserach etc) from something that I bashed out in a couple of weeks, and 2) he was talking in the long-term, which means that I would have to stay on for the next few years, which means that I would have to have a scholarship which means that it is concievable that I will get it. Yay!

I also submitted my Arcon blurb today. I'll be running a Harry Potter game (no surprises there) definitely without Harry in it. I don't think the blurb really sells the game (no graphics or staggering pieces of literature), but I wasn't even looking to run any games this year so a quiet con (as far as GMing is concerned) wouldn't go astray.

I'm also thinking about writing and Exalted freeform for Conquest with Jye and (maybe) Ben L. I think if done correctly, in the round room there, it would probably rock. It's only an idea right now, but if we decided that we would we'd have to pump out a blurb pretty sharpish. Mind you, I have a premise, a hook and several character ideas already, so it wouldn't be too much of a strech.

Just one question remains... If I hate GMing so much, why the hell do I do it? Puzzling. I think it's a disease of some kind.
