Small victories

Even though I had to come in to work twice this weekend, it at this stage seems all worth it, as the chemostat is looking pretty damn good if I do say so myself.

Yesterday was spent cleaning the house for the annual inspection on friday, which included a late night call to a plumber due to very, very old taps. I hate cleaning, but I love living in a clean house. There is still a fair bit of work to do (I'm looking at you, kitchen) but it was a lovely feeling to get up in a bedroom with wasn't buried under crap and drink my coffee in a lounge that wasn't piled in random detritis.

Despite having to wash my hair twice to get rid of the smell of nightclub, and hence the colours have faded a whole lot, they seem to have faded in a not-awful way, and I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Today I am having a thin day. This is especially good, as I may be going for dinner with the ever-wonderful CAMERON tonight. I am quivering with anticipation.

And! A silly quiz, which I'm sure you all knew the answer to already... Collapse )

Title - "Bored at Work", Medium - Post on LiveJournal

Forever attempting to emutate matcha_pocky, I present to you my very own meme (well, it may be one I read a long time ago, and am plagarising awfully):

For those who ask, I shall say something nice about them.

That's all, really. It's not quite so interesting as I thought it would be. But be thou not afraid, for there is only one person I can think of that I could not say anything nice about, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't read LiveJournal, and even if he did, there is no way he would pay any attention to mine. If you are anyone else, I'm positive I can say something nice about you - in fact, I can and will. So there.
