Tech advice!

Alright, I've heard a rumour that some of you out there like tech-bits. :)

One of my supervisors is after a PDA/Phone. He basically wants a PDA that will talk to his computer, that he can do PDA things with, with a phone in it, that it portable. So that he doesn't need to have more than one tech bit with him.

Which is the best for the job? Price range, up to 15 grand.

A mate of mine bought a top-of-the-line one for around $600 on e-Bay a couple of months ago. No idea what the details are, but if he's looking to spend 15K he'll be fine in finding something.

Any of i-Mate, O2 XDA II, T-Mobile MDA II, Qtek 2020 & Orange SPV M1000 should do the job alright they are all almost identical.

The i-Mate from Testra Shop is a simple solution for a beginner and fairly hassle free.

I think I like the O2 XDA II, as my dad has one, though I don't think I could tell you the difference. Maybe shop around for a better price than the i-Mate at Telstra Shop.

Avoid the ones that are really designed more as phones than PDAs such as the Ericson models.

Im amazed about your supervisor looking to spend up to 15K. I thought I spent a lot when I bought a Compaq 3870 for about $1500 nearly three years ago.

A "Blackberry" handset.
Telstra I believe as the best range although the other carriers also have them.
