Beethoven's 9th symphonay, choral

What piece of work is a man? What finer achievements has our society produced? Fine works of art, exceptional thinkers, men and women whose ideas are so inovative that they can shape the very foundations of our understanding and shape the very fabric of our reality, and the blend of scores of musical instruments and voices into a single work of beauty which breathes and lives of its own accord...

...and the chorus swells...

Every note, every breath, every bow across strings, perfection. How can such a miriad of notes blend so seamlessly? How can mankind produce something of such pure and simple, yet impossibly complicated beauty?

And no matter how I try, I shall never be able to put that into words.
If you havn't yet, listen to it and enjoy.

And all composed when he was completely deaf.

I agree, to me the 9th is perfection.

It is a confirmation that humans can transgress greed and selfishness, that beauty, selflessness can exist.

It lifts my mood when I am depressed with its simple message.
