"I knew her before she was famous"

Dear everyone who is in Victoria! Behold my international television debut!

I may very well be on the news tonight.

My lab made a press release for some scientific discovery or what ever (nothing to do with me), and the media decided to get involved. A Channel 10 crew came in today and interviewed one of my supervisors, and after which your standard background science shots were taken - you know, those folk who pipette water while the reporter has a voice over.

I was one of those lab monkeys! And my chemostat was one of the doo-dads which was also filmed.

I think it will be on tonight, but I may be mistaken. In any case, check in to watch my glorious breakthrough into the televised world. Or not.

Becka in a lab coat on TV, and it's not the porn channel? Amazing! :P

What's more is that they were shooting me on my least conservative side - expect to see multiple piercings in one ear, complete with dangly, hippie feathers. Rock.

It's repeated? Well, in that case, I'm going to miss it because I am playing Indoor Cricket until 11pm.

Although, I can probably set the VCR to record the repeat news.

Cool :) Your photogenicity obviously trumps the rest of the department...

You may still have a long way to go before you reach the dizzying heights seen by Internationally Syndicated Cancerboy though. (I'm assuming that Scott's work sent their annual report to overseas clients ;) )

Well that's lot better than my television debut which was as an extra in a Sportsgirl commercial (how embarrassing!)
My instructions were to walk along the street with this guy (I believe he was the stills photographer) and not look at the camera.
After the first take the director said, "You two are great! You should join Actor's Equity. Now turn around and walk away from the camera."
So that was it. My back, wearing someone else's coat, on TV for 3 seconds.
