In news related to moving

We never had a house-warming at our old place. bishi_wannabe is not the party sort, you see. I havn't had a birthday party since my 21st either, so, you know, I think I'm about due.

It also comes to my attention that we will have to be moved out by the 20-somethingth of May... which is only roughly two weeks before my birthday. (Yeah, I know, thanks for the peachy keen present you black-hearted owner!)

So this year, I might just have to combine these two awful events - moving house and aging - and give you all a chance to laugh at me for more than the usual reasons. Provided you all leave at a civilised hour so that bishi_wannabe doesn't get too wierded out by people touching his things and being in his house. If you want to mock my decrepit, pudgey, newly housed form and think this is a good idea, let me know.

Be careful or you could overlap with the premiere (and first showings) of the new StarWars movie.

bishi_wannabe gets creeped-out by people touching his things?
That sounds like great entertainment for an evening.

Star Wars, eh? Glad to see you have your prioroties straight. :)

But you're right, I'll do everything I can to not clash with it.

Priorities? It was only this morning I was saying to someone how if it came down to arienmir having a choice of going out with me on a Friday night or playing StarWars, then I'd be the lame guy out on his own or at home eating his way through a bar of cadbury.

I also recalled I'd agreed to go to non-premiere early showing around that time - the Friday after release - and figured many of your friends (real friends, not LJ lurkers like me) might also be doing nerdy things like that :)

"bishi_wannabe gets creeped-out by people touching his things? "

Not that I've noticed, but I've maintained a strict policy of only letting people in the house for gaming, in which case they were just touching game books, chairs, that sort of thing :)

I dunno. $15 for a film that involves lightsabers works for me.

Can't summon up the old enthusiasm, but I'll definitely see it.

Eh, I'd rather spend the time playing KotOR 2 if I wanted to see lightsabers. I cannot justify paying to have anything resembling the partial frontal lobotomy that the first two were.

Whereas I think the latest two were noticeably better than the original trilogy (at least while supressing the pod-race and most of Jar-Jar from my memories of the first one).

The difference is that they weren't relatively miles ahead of everything else available at the time, unlike the originals, so the dialogue and scripting flaws stick out like sore thumbs, whereas we forgave the terrible cheesiness of the originals :)

Will be there with bells on, depending on evening.

I mean, literally, if you have it and I can attend. ;-)

Keep us posted. If it ends up late May or early June, I might fly back from planet UK for it!

I miss your decrepit form, and that of the lovely CAMERON .

Sure. Why not. I'll even behave myself around alcohol for once.

Of course, by that stage I may have descended into full-blown alcoholism, so no promises.
