When I was little we had a Russian Blue who was more like a Yorkie miner than a Romanov Duchess. Big beefy girl who was an absolutely astounding mouser. We would come out in the morning and the mice would be laid out in rigid regiments (very Soviet); sometimes nose-nose-nose, sometimes nose-tail-nose. It was very clear this was our 'ration' of the night's takings. When more siblings came along, our ration was increased from the usual two mice each for three people, to two mice for four, and then five. After that, having single handledly denuded the entire mouse population within a three suburb radius, we only got the occasional 'spare'.
