I want to have my cake...

... and eat it too.

Is that really such a bad thing? Surely it can't be as bad as not knowing what you want, or taking things just because, and not because you desire them. Maybe it is bad, maybe it is worse. I don't know.

All I know is that extended sensory deptivation should be a form of UN-sanctioned torture.

Curse me for a sensation junkie. Curse me for having wants. And needs. And desires.

... I think I need to go dancing again, soon. Very soon.

wanting on having your cake and eating it, and acting on that desire are two very different things. the fact that it's a shit that you can't (or at least not without serious ramifications), is different to the fact that you've chosen a path and you're sticking to it. the fact that you've done that, especially considering the apparent cost, is highly fucking commendable.

hope i'm making sense

You are making sense, as you usually do. Not sure if it's commendable, it's just a state of being and of mind. And bloody minded stubbornness, of course.

Well, that, and I think I have a point to prove to all those harpies who are on my back.

Thanks. I like your sense of perspective.

ignore the fucking harpies. they have nothing better to do than poke and pry into other peoples lives. fuck them.

however, it's certainly a case of do as i say and not as i do. the reason i call it commendable is because no one could accuse me of exercising the restraint you show m'dear. and because of that you have my respect and admiration.

Really? Because you have my awe and respect for being who you are, and just that. Gosh, now we're getting all gooey at eachother...

hugs to you. You're ace.

Say the word, I'll join you.

BAM. How about sometime soon, then, assuming I can find someone to make sure I get home safely afterwards. Next week?

And by the way, when are we having coffee next? :)

How about Carmilla's next Saturday?
Or there's Aeon on Fridays at BV.
Or any other suggestions also welcome.
Dunn how long you usually stay at clubs for, but seeing as we live in the same neck of the woods, getting home safe shouldn't be a problem.

And coffee. Yay!
You free?

Sounds like planning
Hmmm... where is Carmilla's/BV? And as for how long I stay, it depends on the night in question (how I feel, what music is playing, who else is there etc.). How long do you tend to stay?

As for coffee on thursday - sounds squishy. :)

Re: Sounds like planning
Carmilla's is on the corner of Flinders and King.
Blue Velvet is on the corner of Smith and Gertrude.
Unless I'm bored speechless/they won't stop playing electro crap, I've been tending to stay out until anywhere between 4-6am.
Where did you go out clubbing then?

Thursday then, for coffee. I'll call to organise.

Re: Sounds like planning
I was dragged out kicking and screaming to P'naught on friday (and by "dragged out kicking and screaming" I mean that I was really keen to go, but people had to hold my hand so I wasn't too scared to leave the house). I'm a bit of an early bird when it comes to leaving clubs (3-4), but I'm sure we can work something out...

We could go to Blue Velvet, then, on Friday. It's close by, and I don't usually mind leaving that one too early. Also the dance floor's nice and quiet.
Anyone else?
